These terms govern your use of Carbon Sorted (“the Service”), which helps UK SMEs produce procurement-ready Carbon Reduction Plans (CRPs). By creating an account you agree to these terms.
The Service
Carbon Sorted generates a CRP from the information you provide. Emissions figures are computed deterministically from the official UK Government (DESNZ/DEFRA) greenhouse gas conversion factors; the AI drafts only the narrative sections, constrained by those figures, and never the mandated declaration or scope tables.
Your responsibilities
- You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the activity data you enter.
- A CRP must be reviewed and signed off by a director (or equivalent), who bears responsibility for its accuracy. The Service supports, but does not replace, that accountability.
- You must not use the Service to produce misleading or fraudulent emissions claims.
Purchases and credits
Generation and export of a completed plan require a CRP credit; revisions beyond the three included require a revision top-up. Annual and Agency plans grant a capped allotment of credits per period. Pricing and what each purchase grants are described on our pricing page and are subject to the Money-back Guarantee and Refund Policy.
If Carbon Sorted certified your paid CRP as PASS and it is later found non-compliant with a mandatory PPN 006 or WPPN 006 requirement because of an error attributable to Carbon Sorted, we will first correct it at no additional cost. If we cannot make it compliant, we will refund the price paid for that CRP in full.
Provenance and records
Each plan carries an AI-Use Statement and a tamper-evident provenance log recording how it was produced. You may rely on these as part of your bid documentation.
Liability
The Service is provided on a reasonable-efforts basis. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for the outcome of any procurement process. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant plan.
Data processing
Where you submit personal data to the Service, processing is governed by our Data Processing Agreement, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Agency customers must accept the DPA before onboarding client data.
